Teacher Loans
   Teacher loans are available to any educator in Hardin County and the surrounding area. We also have special loans for home schoolers. Please ask at one of the desks to find out our policies. We will gather books for teachers on subject areas, but we need notice of one week to do this.

Literacy Bags Available for Teachers
  The library has added literacy bags to its collection for teachers to use in the classroom.  The titles available include the following:

These literacy bags each contain a book, a guide sheet, and some type of realia, such as a puppet.  Teachers will need to request these at the circulation desk.  There is a limit of one per card.

  The library has added several "big Books" to its collection for teachers to use in the classroom.  The following titles will be available for checking out on a teacher card.

Teachers will need to request these at the circulation desk.  There is a limit of three titles per card.

Class visits
   Classes are always welcome at the library. We will fit our tour to your needs. Please talk to the youth services librarian to schedule your tour.
   The youth services librarian would also be very happy to come to your classroom with stories or materials pertaining to your current area of study.

Reading Recovery books

  The library has purchased new Reading Recovery books.  There are twenty different levels and many books available.  Please ask at the desk for more information or call 419 673-2278.

 

ELLISON MACHINE

The library now has an Ellison Die Machine available to the public.  This may be a benefit to teachers, daycare centers, Sunday school teachers, creative moms, scrapbook experts, etc.

WE ALSO HAVE 30 NEW PUPPETS IN CIRCULATION MAKING A TOTAL OF 260 PUPPETS.  COME CHECK THEM OUT

 

WE WILL BE ACQUIRING MORE MONTHLY.   JUST ASK THE CHILDREN'S LIBRARIAN OR AT THE MAIN DESK.  THEY WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SHOW YOU HOW TO USE THE DIES AND MACHINE.

YOU NEED TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN PAPER, WE WILL SUPPLY THE DIES.
