MEETING  ROOM  POLICY 

 

MEETING ROOM POLICY (effective1/l/97)

 

1. Meetings are limited to groups of 75 or less people.

2. The meeting room fee is $10.00 for non-commercial groups and $30.00 for commercial groups.

3. The meeting room is not available for use on Sundays or holidays or on Saturdays after 5:00 p.m. The library is closed for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, , Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas. Other closings are at the discretion of the Director and/or the Board of Trustees.

4. It is preferred that no food/drink be used in the meeting room. If food and beverages are served and the carpet is stained, the group using the room is responsible for paying to have the carpet cleaned. The meeting room must be cleaned up by the user after each meeting. Chairs and tables should be returned to the positions in which they were found. Lights are to be turned out. Both meeting room doors should be closed, and the outside back door locked and shut securely.

5. The library furnishes no dishes, silver, or other facilities,

6. It is advisable to make bookings at least one week in advance. Meetings may be scheduled as far in advance as desired. It is permissible for organizations to schedule meetings one year in advance.

7. If you find it necessary to cancel your meeting, please advise the library as soon as possible. If the library is not notified of the cancellation, you will still be required to pay the fee.

8. All meetings must be held in the meeting room. The rest of the library is not available for meetings.

9. No smoking will be permitted in the meeting room or on the premises by order of the Fire Marshall.
