  The Mary Lou Johnson-Hardin County District Library has received a variety of memorials and honorariums for the month of May.  Although the library received additional memorial gifts during the month of January, this list represents those titles that have been delivered, processed and are available for circulation.

"The Penderwicks: A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits and a Very Interesting boy" by Jeanne Birdsall was placed in memory of Bernita Amsler by the Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center residents and staff.  The following titles were presented in memory of Russ Castle by his friends at Home Savings and Loan: "Fish Eyes" by Lois Ehlert, "A Fish Out of Water" by Helen Palmer, and "the Rainbow Fish" by Marcus Pfister.

 "Pink Ladies & Crimson Gents: Portraits and Legends of 50 Roses" by Molly and Don Glentzer was placed in memory of Dorothy Crawford by Ruth Crates, Ann Downing and Jeremy Reed.  "The Boy Camper: 160 Outdoor Projects and Activities" by Popular Mechanics and "George Shrinks" by William Joyce were placed in memory of Stacy Dyer by Max and Patti Getz, "English Springer Spaniel"  from the American Kennel Club was placed in memory of John Fitzgerald by Charlene Hilty.  "The House that Faux Built: Transform Your Home with Paint, Plaster and Creativity" was placed in memory of John Fitzgerald by Richard and Serena Baum.  "Animals Robert Scott Saw" by Sandra Markle was placed in memory of Donald Gossard by the Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center residents and staff.  "My Heart Remembers" by Kim Vogel Sawyer was placed in memory of Mrs. Florence Hale by the Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center residents and staff.  "Root for Kids: A Genealogy Guide for Young People" by Susan Provost Beller was placed in memory of Estelle Hites by Charlene Hilty.  "Genealogical Research in Ohio" by Kip Sperry and "Getting Started in Genealogy Online" by William Dollarhide were placed in memory of Estella Hites and Naomi Jolliff by the Hardin County Democrats.

  "How to Read Music" by Terry Burrows and the Complete Learn to Play Manual" by Peter Gelling were placed in honor of Blase' King as a special thank you by the Kenton Lions Club.  "Mary Had a Little Lamp" by Jack Lechner was placed in memory of Edna Koch by the Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation center and residents and staff.  "The Perennial Gardener's Design Primer" by Stephanie Cohen was placed in memory of Robert Laubis by the Kenton High School Class of 1944.  The following titles were placed in memory of Clifton LeVally by Peggy Johnson, Randal Johnson and Jay & Karla Johnson and family: "The Woodworker's  Bible: A Complete Guide to Woodworking" by Percy W. Blanford and "Wildlife Portraits in Wood: 30 Patterns to Capture the Beauty of Nature" by Charles Dearing.  "Slices of Life" by Judy Baer was placed in memory of Maxine Lichty by the Finerty family.  "Ghosts Among Us" by James Van Praagh was presented in memory of Michelle Messenger by Marshall Messenger.  "Just who Will You Be?" by Maria Shriver was placed in memory of Nell Porter by Unit 8 Sewing Group Memorial Hospital Guild.  A one year renewable subscription to large print "Guideposts" was placed in memory of Alice Ritzler by R. Keith and Sally Y. Kiggins.  "Resounding Truth: Christian Wisdom in the World of Music" by Jeremy S. Begbie was placed in memory of Cecil H. Ross by Minor and Judy Clemons.

  "Egyptology" was placed in honor of Brandon Stewart by the MLJ-Hardin County District Library Board of Trustees and employees for exemplary behavior.  The following books were placed in memory of Samson Thompson by Betty Fay: "Cold Noses at the Pearly Gate" by Gary Kurz, "W is for Woof: a Dog Alphabet" by Ruth Strother, "The Berenstain Bears Lose a Friend" by Jan and Stan Berenstain, "A Big Dog: an Opposites Book" by Bernette G. Ford, and "The Poky Little Puppy" by Janette Sebring Lowrey. "The World of rodeo: Bull Riding" by Jane and Jessica Kubke was placed in memory of Cody Trent by Doug and Karin Seiler.
