Hardin County is home to the National Coon Dog Trials held yearly over Labor Day weekend.  The operation of the Coon-Dog Trials is run by Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Ross and their son, on 806 acres of land located South of Kenton on Route 292.

One of the features of the Coon Dog Trials is the water races held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.  Many spectators find the water trials  to be the most exciting and entertaining part of the whole event.  The Flea Market, where you can find everything from soup to nuts, draws people from all over the country. Many of them save their vacation every year for this very event.
